Kent C. Ho

Managing Partner

Kent is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Harbor Pacific Capital. He focuses on investments in digital media and helps oversee the firm’s investment efforts in the United States and China. Upon graduating from Duke, Kent worked at Goldman Sachs in San Francisco in the Private Wealth Management division advising high net worth families and Silicon Valley entrepreneurs. He was part of a five-person team responsible for managing more than US$5 billion in assets. He subsequently joined the San Francisco office of Sing Tao Newspapers, a globally distributed Chinese daily newspaper, focusing on business development. Immediately preceding business school, Kent worked in Hong Kong and China with Amerinvest Group, a private investment fund, evaluating investment opportunities in China which included co-investment deals with TPG as well as proprietary deals within the natural resources, real estate, and high-tech industries. Kent is a non-executive director of Sing Tao News Corporation Limited. Listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (stock code:1105), the company is a media corporation with a vision to become a leading content and service provider serving global Chinese communities. Its principal activities comprise media and media-related operations including newspapers, magazines, recruitment media, media services, books, and content services. In addition, the Sing Tao Group of companies is also engaged in trading and e-learning and corporate training. Kent received an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics and a Certificate in the Markets and Management Program from Duke University.

Stuart W. Kwok

Managing Partner

Stuart is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Harbor Pacific Capital. He is involved with all of the firm’s investments and helps oversee the firm’s investment efforts in the United States and China. In addition, he is responsible for overseeing the firm’s financial and administrative activities. Prior to co-founding Harbor Pacific, Stuart worked at Evolution Capital Management, where he focused on public and private investments in Asia for the fund’s special situations portfolio. Previously, Stuart worked for six years in the global consumer products and retail group of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and UBS Investment Bank in both New York and Hong Kong, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions in the global retail industry. He has extensive cross-border transactional experience, having worked with Wal-Mart on four international acquisitions, including Seiyu in Japan, Bompreço in Brazil, CARHCO in Central America and Trust-Mart in China. Stuart received an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA in Government and Economics from Cornell University. Stuart is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
